I was completely unaware of this, but it could be a case that the second batch of pre-orders that Game are set to take are only available if you purchase a game alongside the console. I spoke with my manager yesterday who was unaware of the current situation regarded our second batch of pre-orders, but I can see them taking this route. By the way I submitted this to the Official Nintendo Magazine forums. Very good find.
