UK Scam - PS3 for Christmas

Posted by Kerri on November 9th, 2006

Gamespot are reporting that in the London Underground there are now adverts telling people that they can get there hands on a PS3 for Christmas by ringing a £1.50 a minute telephone number. Apart from the fact that Sony have made it very clear that importing the PS3 will result in legal action, where will they actually be getting them from if sites such as LikSang (bricked) and PlayAsia won’t be exporting any Sony goods for the time being. I can’t really imagine some sweaty British guy bringing loads back through customs…

to be fair, people stupid enough to ring a premium line, and in the full knowledge that their order can be cancelled at anytime, deserved to scammed out of their hard earned money. fools.
they’ll just have to learn the hard way.
