Video Games Live : Its the bomb

VL logoWell, that was truly amazing. Even if it was the recycled American tour :(

Still, i’ve never seen so many gamers before. and DS’s. just the one PSP though :p

Well, they opened with a retro medley, which was pretty cool. although the first major highlight was the Metal Gear Solid rendition, which was superb. The orchestra was brilliant, they really did a good job.
Zelda was “1337″, and kingdom hearts was wicked to.
There were games there i didn’t know, and some i played but the music didn’t really stand out to me when i did. Although anything live is awesome.

I really cant describe how uber the night was, but i was a little disappointed they only did One Winged Angel from the Final Fantasy series, Some FF8 would have been nice.

But the best part of it all? the Videogame pianist, Martin Leung. If you haven’t seen this guy play, check it out on the ‘tube or something.
This guy is so good, he played so fast he broke the keyboard and made the huge speakers crackle. I wouldn’t be surprised if broke those to.
he did and awesome FF medley, and did his signature blindfoled mario piece.
Best.Guy.Ever.

——-EDIT——–

i almost forgot two things.

1. DS wi-fi does not work well when theres alot of DS’s about. so much lag on pictochat, and ds download failed every time when it got busy.

2. french guys cant beatbox. the composers from beyond good and evil devided to communicate via rap, seen as they cant speak much english. it was bad. real bad.

Damm that sounds like fun. Bummer with the DS lag though. I suppose it’s lmited by the number of channels that can be used by Wi-fi divices.
