Massive Wii stock in Europe - Still not enough
Posted by Kerri on November 29th, 2006
Nintendo have revealed today that Wii systems are being produced and ready to be sold here in Europe, although stock of their new system is way below demand level and that customers will have to “get moving” just to pick one up this side of Christmas.
Although I knew Wii was going to do well for Nintendo, I never imagined stocks would sell out before they were even on sale. I didn’t think so many people cared for Nintendo, especially in this country as from a retail perspective, the other two ‘heavyweight’ consoles seem much more sought after.

It’s annoying that that story doesn’t have any numbers in it other then the US sales figure and the magic 4 Mil.
Hopefully the big retails won’t have over sold launch day pre-orders. I know a good few people who are expecting a system on launch day from Game or GameStation.

I was all set for midnight queing outside my local HMV. But I’ve just been asked to go to Edinburgh for the week to help out with some work. Which mean sIm going to miss the launch, and miss my chance at grabbing a wii. Gutted
