With the recent release of new screenshots for the new ‘Compilation of Final Fantasy VII’ game ‘Crisis Core’ for PSP, it’s becoming much harder to deny the temptation to own one of those flashy black handhelds (or indeed, that ugly looking pink version). With these cool lookin’ screenies of the upcoming remake of ‘Final Fantasy Tactics’, I can only hope Sony get their move on with that funky new PSP rumored to be in the works.

Thanks to Square site ‘Square Haven’ it is now possible to see some of the game in all its remade and multiplayer glory (I’m loving the cool looking cameo of Balthier). The original game was pretty fun but a unique move away from the main number series that Square were doing at the time. Sadly, many of the spin-off games such as Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, Tactics and Crystal Chronicles never achieved much mainstream appeal (especially here in Europe) but did have a mighty cult fan base who loved the game to pieces.
