European PS3 Doesn’t play Guitar Hero

Posted by Kerri on March 20th, 2007

Thinking of buying a PLAYSTATION3 but only want to play Guitar Hero? Well, you can’t. Bummer ay?

Sony released today their list of games that will work with the PS3 (unleashed this Friday) in regards to backwards compatibility. A lot of games I own are under the ‘Plays okay but a few errors’ section, which is a bit of a shame.

I’m pretty sure the majority of people buying the console at first aren’t exactly going to be purely interested in the backwards compatibility though. Also with the word of updates to the list in future via firmware updates the situation should improve.

At least Super Bust-A-Move is playable, that game is sweet.

  1. The Machiavellian Nerd Says:

You can’t actually play Guitar Hero on US or JP systems either. The controllers aren’t compatible with the system.

There was some minor fuss about it when the PS3 launched.

FFVII and MGS2 are more of an concern for me.
