Today marks our very first posting of games hitting your local shops today. I’m primarily interested in doing this feature because a lot of games that get released disappear from websites and shop fronts the day after release if they aren’t exactly expected to sell well. Hopefully by doing this it should help you guys and girls to see if any good games are out that you might miss due to getting pushed off the radar by the bigger titles.

This week sees the release of the PS3 and its mammoth amount of launch titles which have built up due to the delay in launches over here in Europe. Also, franchises such as ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, ‘UEFA Champions League’ and ‘The Godfather’ get releases this week. Finally, long time in production ‘S.T.A.L.K.E.R’ gets its release this week at last. The game has already achieved cult status in the gaming world due to its unique vision of the catastrophe of Chernobyl and its new take of the first person shooter genre as a whole.
