These new screenshots were released yesterday by Nintendo. It’s been ages since we heard anything about the game but it’s great to see that work on the project is still going well and it actually looks to be a definite milestone for the series.
According to Reggie Fils-Aime (Head honcho at Nintendo America), Metroid Prime 3 is going to “reinvent the control scheme for a first person shooter. It’s the closest you can get to PC control in a [console] game.”
Look out for the release this August and the forthcoming dismay as we Europeans see an inevitable five month delay.

Im not too sure about his “Reinvention of the control scheme” claim. I mean how many ways can you walk around with a analgoue stick and point with a wiimote?
