$1billion is what rushing out a console costs you

The problem with the 360 is, Microsoft clearly rushed it out of the gate.
Now that the console has had time to live and become adjusted to modern society, boom bang, they all start breaking. Problem is, this ‘red ring’ problem is becoming a bit tricky for Microsoft. It was reported yesterday on the BBC News that the cost of repairing Xbox 360, sending them out and giving extended warranties to customers with machine problems almost exceeds 1 Billion dollars.
Of course, this isn’t even a dent on Microsofts gargantuan bank balance, but it certainly goes to show what happens when you rush out a next-gen console which is way ahead of its time. However, maybe I’m being a tad harsh. Just like with GM foods, you can never predict the future outcome of a drastic decision.
