Although low of new product releases, the Microsoft press conference last night certainly did have its high points.

Here are some announcements they made in regard to new hardware to be released on the market soon.

• Xbox 360 Elite - Although not a new product, the new slick black version of the 360 will be released in Europe on the 24th of August. (Just over a month away)
• 360 Messenger Add-on - Will see stores sometime in September
• Halo 3 Edition Xbox - As pictured above. Again, for release sometime in September (no price given yet). Will be a cross between the Premium with a 20Gb hard-drive , and an Elite with HDMI support. Will come free with a wireless headset and a play-and-charge kit but not a copy of Halo 3.
• Coloured Controllers - Pink and Blue versions of the 360 controllers will go on sale in October.
