EA games reveiled – It’ll all end in tears

Remember at school when you made someone promise never to tell anyone else that you secretly ate worms or had the hots for that girl you sat with in math class? And then they just went and told everyone anyway? It’s kinda like what happened with EA.
Recently at GDC in a closed-doors game preview shindig, they made sure that embargo’s were placed so that no word of the things they were showing off would get out to the gaming press or blog-o-sphere.
Clearly as I am writing about this now, someone has played the part of that kid who always told everyone your best kept secrets.
Destructoid points us in the direction of a chat-log regarding someone who goes by the name of ‘Raid’. The chat took place in Go Nintendo’s very own IRC room and clearly, they aren’t best pleased about it. It’s a sad thing really, it must be hard in their situation as once news hits the public domain, its all pretty much fair game.
So what is so exciting about this embargo breaking then? ‘Raid’ states that a game for the new Harry Potter film will be brought to the Wii with a new state-of-the-art microphone included in the box. S/he also mentioned that a new entry of the ‘Battlefield’ series will be coming to the Wii and the PS3. As well as this, a new version of ‘Black and White’ will be unveiled soon for the Wii also.
It does sound like something EA would do. Especially after recently stating they had relocated a lot of resources into the Wii and DS departments. If these rumors are true then we could be looking at a great year for EA.

It’s a shame the beans were spilled, but if it’s true… those are some pretty cool beans.
