What was first rumoured is now fact. Spore is coming to DS. Will Wright’s genius looking sandbox title is to have a DS version as well as the massively fun looking PC version due out later this year.

The company have also pledged to release titles from their over franchises ‘The Sims’ and ‘SimCity’ for Nintendo platforms also. ‘My Sims’ is most probably the name for the cutesy looking title we saw late last year and in my opinion, will most probably be a title aimed at children.

I assume that EA sees the popularity of Nintendo’s latest consoles (especially in Japan) and feel they need to get a slice of the pie with original titles which aren’t just ports or remakes. It’s been rumoured that EA are also planning on bringing some brand new titles to the systems as well later this year.
