Going For Gold – Games released on 6th July 2007

circle-01.jpgIt certainly is coming towards the dry months of the year. With all that sun outside… wait, no, scratch that- With the lack of games in this weeks release list we can see that we are certainly in the period where we probably should be outside playing. Me, I’m taking some time to finish the games I never got round to, Zelda Twilight Princess, Pokemon Pearl & Shadow of the Colossus are definitely up there, as well as feeding my addiction of Puzzle League DS.

One game that should perk your interest this week is the remake of Parappa the Rapper for the PSP. I didn’t actually expect the PSP version to ever get a release over here in Europe but Sony have surprised me again. The game is a brilliant contribution to music gaming and pretty much became the forefront of the nouvelle vague in music video gaming. Parappa taught us that music in games doesn’t always have to be an arcade experience with things like Dance Dance Revolution or Beatmania, although those games are fun, we can still have fun with wacky Japanese music games at home too – as well as on the move now with the PSP remake.

I’m having a big backlog of games to complete. I still havent completed Godfather. Done a few levels of Mercury and Mario Strikers. Just got in Potter and Res Evil. So this Saturday I’ll mostly be playing Scarface. When it comes through my door.

  3. Kerri Says:

I like the look of Scarface, I loved the film but I just know it’d be cheaper on the PS2.
