Sweet, I’m not the only one with an Addiction

…and there I was thinking my recent addiction to my imported copy of Pokemon Pearl was unnatural. It seems Pokemon fever has hit many online game journalists. Kevin Cassidy of GoNintendo and Stephen Totilo of MTV’s games site are notable examples of converts to the poké-phenomenon.
I’ll post my extended thoughts on the title later this week but at the moment, I think its great to see that one of Nintendo’s largest franchises is gaining recognition from the wider gamer set than just ‘kids’. I’ll admit, I hadn’t played the games since the first two games came out (Red and Blue) but I got into Sapphire on the GBA when that dropped. The DS entries are a huge step forward and I can’t wait to see what they come out with next.

Well after playing a bit of Super Paper Mario on the Gamecube earlier this week I demonstrated how the battle system of Pokémon works…..she has now given up on that game so Harvest Moon makes it to the top of the DS list.

Its so good! I got mine today and have already played about 2 and a half hours- and am going to play some more now. Ive already beaten the first gym leader(with the help of Kerri’s lvl 18′s…-only because my Pokemon were the wrong type!!) From the girly side of things though, I love getting the cute Pokemon the best.
