OverClocked Remix
Posted by Kerry on January 18th, 2007
I just read a post on the blog ‘Guildwriter’ which I found thanks to Tag Surfing (I <3 WordPress) and it reminded me of this pretty cool site called Overclocked Remix I used to frequent a few years ago.
Basically the site is an archive of mp3s. But what is cool is that all of the music on the site is a remix or rearrangement of video game music. I actually knew someone who made music for this site once but we lost contact which is a shame, I would love to ask him now how he went about remixing game music.
If you’ve ever found yourself humming along to music from video games, I highly recommend this site to you. Some of the remixes on here are just genius. Just make sure to work your way through the remixes for Chrono Trigger slowly – there are so many!

Thanks for the mention, Kerri! Hopefully you’re checking back every so often to see what the latest ReMixes are. There’s always good stuff being posted that I’m sure you’d enjoy.
Who did you used to talk to, BTW? I can’t say 100% that I know them, but there’s a pretty good chance that I do.
If you’d ever like to conduct an interview with site founder djpretzel, myself or someone else on staff re: OC ReMix, lemme know. I’m always willing to talk about OCR at length, since I’ve enjoy working there all these years.
Always good to see another gaming blog with a solid focus on music news as well; keep us the good work!
